The important thing to know here is that what is the major difference between these two and why the cost of CH340G is very less.
The CH340G does not have FTDI and use a different serial/USB chip. This reduces the cost of these board because they can save to licensing cost of the FTDI. I did not try this board myself but after search a bit around I think it is worth trying but keep in mind the answer from Anand Padmanabhan.
